seen a picture on autotrader and it has 1 remote key and one normal key thats why im worried.

Yes, one remote key and one normal, you can still unlock/lock and start the car with the normal key but it has to be inserted into the ignition about 30 seconds after unlocking otherwise the alarm will sound :)

Danny.

Yeah I imagine I can get one from seat but I reckon it would be a few hundred pounds! I've had a look on ebay they are about 50quid but does anyone know the frequency id need and also were to get it cut?

Cost me about £125 for a new flip key 2 yrs ago from a dealer. Flip ones are more expensive. I thought the older type ones were on a different frequency?
I know its pricey, but me and the wife drive either cars, so it was a case of bite the bullet and just enter your pin number in the machine:whistle: :(

I can't believe how tight seat are! Bloody audi n vw get 2 remote keys! Doesn't look like many people can do the encodeing/cutting, I'll phone seat later n get a price! :(

You can get the remote part of the key on Ebay for £16-£17 new. You need to check the number matches the existing one and then pair the remote to the car.
Then get a new flip key blade, again Ebay £9 and have it programmed to the car. I dont know if there are any problems doing it this way but should be a lot cheaper.

You get 2 flip keys with Skoda, well at least the wife's Octavia came with 2, Seat really are the penny pinchers, particularly gaulling when you see how much better built an Octavia is over a Leon.

Yes, you get two remotes with the Fabia too. When they gave me only one remote and on other key I couldn't believe it. The car starts off at £18,000. What a joke.

Maybe I should get n octavia vrs then!

Suppose it depends what you like m8. I am lucky enough to have access to both, the Cupra is mine, the vRS is the wife's and they are quite different drives.

Put it this way, if I have a long distance to drive, or more than one passenger I always take the Octy. If I am on my own or on a short journey I always take the Leon.

In my opinion the Cupra is the better drivers car, it always puts a smile on my face and ultimately I love it for that alone. The vRS is the better all rounder though and it really is a very very good car, it just never seems to quite light my fire, as it were, in the same way as the Cupra does.

Head goes with the vRS, Cupra from the heart..............:-o

Extra keys and remote

I bought a key fob off Ebay. Got the dealer to re-code it - charged £40. Works fine.
Not bothered about the blade up to now just put the remote on the ring with the Seat key.
