Wow -

231bhp & 355ft/lb :D

Not bad, but I would have expected more from the DPF delete...mine runs now on REVO software and it should do about 214 HP...as far as I know the lack of DPF would allow for a more aggresive soft, so I would expect around 25-30 HP more...just waiting for REVO to release such a soft (they told me they were working on it a few months ago). But maybe my expectations were too high...

Also interested in clutch after my PD150R.

Anyone had an MOT yet?

Mine has been through an 'MOT' test at a friends garage, and whilst not needing an MOT it flew through the visible smoke test - he commented that it was alot cleaner than most 1.9tdi's :)

hows the car going with DPF removed, still reliable and have you any little gripes or is it all good?

when i get me new car im defo going to get this done!im after a mk2 leon fr or an octy vrs and was looking at the 2.0T versions of both but reading this im going to get a diesel!

Hows everybodys fuel economy after getting it done is it still improveing?
what sort of range is everybody getting aswell because with the price of juice sneaking up all the time my car is getting way to expensive to run!

Luke.

I carnt see why it would have a problem because (And please correct me if im wrong) arent the Emissions and Smoke test done while ideling rather than under load?

If they where done under load then people like T.Spark would have problems as his fills the air with smoke

having read all of this i am now tempted to get this done to mine.

NickP - when yours was MOT'd did you take it for a drive first or did u just take it straight to the garage from a cold start?

you are very very cloase to the max that the piezo injectors can withstand anything above 230 and they start to act up

As far as I am aware, when the smoke test diesels, they give it full beans rather then at certain RPM in on petrol tests, or maybe the otherway round. But I'm sure it's not just an idle test.

Danny.

Hmmm dont know if any of you have seen these cars run at the likes of Santa Pod etc

But theres no way T.Spark and Devonutopia would pass a smoke test with there Stage 3-4 PD130's on full beans , fills the room full of black smoke

Anyway not to worry ive got 2 years before i need a MOT

I've watched an MOT on a diesel and they did indeed redline it in neutral a few times. I guessed this was the smoke test.

It got me thinking about what would happen if the engine had not ever been redlined and it was getting on a bit and the cam belt failed whilst they were doing this.

Thats why there has to be a disclaimer in all MOT stations to say thats what they are going to do as part of the test and if they blow it up as part of the test you are on your own.......

I know of a garage close to me that blew up an Fabia VRS on the smoke test at MOT time. Throttle jammed open somehow and it just rev'ed till it went bang. Rods through the block too, proper job! Not sure what happened afterwards though!

lol, I once ran a 120k miles A6 2.5 V6TDi, I couldn't bear to look when I took it for an MOT and they did the smoke test  they do actually take them right to the rev limiter several times....

I had a highlt tuned tdi 110 Golf with transporter injectors and without a cat that got through MOT's by simply unplugging a connection under the bonnet forced car into limp home mode with very low fueling hence no smoke, then once past since plug back in!! Not sure if this can be done on the more modern cars

Smokin'

My FR (dpf delete) is smoking badly. On accelleration, when foot lifts from pedal AND low revs. Its also idling at 1000rpm. Do you think the ECU is trying to regen the DPF and not managing it cos its not there?
Any info would be appreciated.
Cheers
