You still going down POD on 28th? Ive got me Car Number now for POD :D

Im hoping to yes mate. Will know in the next week or so for sure. If I am gonna try and get a SCN gathering together for the event aswell :)

Hi,

I was one of the first to have a DE-DPF done on my Leon by Custom-Code/JBS.

My car was used for the development of the DE-DPF.

My car has done 15k since the DE-DPF and I have no issues what so ever, no engine lights, no DPF lights, not limp mode and I do not get excessive amount of smoke and the car has also passed a smoke test. Not to even mention the tremendous amounts of power the car has.......

If you have had a DE-DPF, your car should definitely not be going into regen mode as this will damage the engine with no DPF attached.

From posts which I have read it appears that the engine map which AMD are providing is insufficient so please do not confuse with the sufficient work which Custom-Code are providing.

If you want a map which works and is proven go with a business which is proven! (Custom-Code/JBS).

I now feel even more pleased that I decided to go with Custom-Code after discovering people are having issues with AMD 

Thanks,
Lee

I would agree... get a full refund from AMD and then go to Custom-Code and get them to perform the de-dpf correctly :)

Quite a comment....

Its important that more than one company can offer a product to ensure a competitive marketplace.

From what Ive read both CC and AMD have made tweaks to the programming since release - with multiple visits back to the dealers required.

That's possibly the only reason I havent gone for the De-Dpf, as I live too far away from a dealer and dont yet think that the conversion has matured sufficiently.

With a bit of luck the DPF on the CR will allow tuning with the DPF in place, like BMW manage - 220Bhp for the 120D and 250Bhp on the 123D.

P.S. On another note.. Do people really think that the DPF causes the problems (except limiting tuning potential) - as far as I can gather its nearly always the sensors, and arnet these still in place after the conversion?

Correct but customer satisfaction is a nessecity.... i have not made multiple trips to my (Seat)dealer either....... There were a few trips to Custom-Code in the development stage as my car was one of the first to have the mod, the trips were to tweak more power from the map, but i accepted this as i agreed that development would be done on my car. However since the final map which has been running for a good few months i have not been back to CC with any remap related issues.

If you go to Custom-Code now it should just be a case of having the de-dpf fitted, map uploaded and no further trips required back to Custom-Code regarding remap issues.

From the information on this forum... it appears that AMD customers are experiancing DPF lights.... and more problems.

I have never had the DPF light on with my Custom-Code remap and nor have i experiacned any issues related to remap and de-dpf.

So what im saying is.... based off information provided on this forum with first hand experianced that it all points towards Custom-Code supplying a more satisfactory map without the issues.

DPF light should certainly not come on with DE-DPF, which it has with an AMD map. If it has come on then its likly that the car is trying to regen without the dpf which can cause engine damage.

Im just concered of people putting Custom-Code in the same boat as AMD.

Thanks
