Dealers were literally on just notified of these changes this week.

As you say, literally only this week - I sat with the sales guy for almost 2 hours last week and not a mention and it wasn't until yesterday when I went to thrash out a deal did he casually bring it into the conversation. It wasn't until he gave me the bulletin to read did he realise the Conv. pack will be included as standard anyway.

Anyway all is well that ends well, I now have a New spec Candy White (yes I know another one!) FR 170 CR DSG with Tech Pack, side skirts and spoiler on order ........ yeeees!!

I will have to give them a call tomorrow to see if there are any changes, they have charged me for the Tech & Con packs + wheels, they may knock me some off or I could be Mr Un-Lucky lol

Good luck Silverstone, they will probably say sorry but orders already on the system and unable to change! ......... I'm sure you will enjoy it nonetheless!

Hopefully It will come with DAB radio, FM is poor at the best of times, I had a hire car on holiday with satellite radio, the difference was unbelievable! as for enjoying, if its half as much fun as I've had in my Ibiza it will be awesome.

I wonder if the price hike along with the extra VAT from Jan had something to do with it and fluctuating poud vs Euro. Be interesting to see and hear what the new SEAT media system is like and the new display on the standard stereo is like??

Yeah we were kind of expecting the VAT to go back up weren't we but the base price for my car has gone up around 2k since I bought mine just over 3 years ago, mind you having said that I got a bit of a surprise when the dealer gave me a trade in price. It works out it is costing me around the same to change as it has for the last 3 cars I've changed at the 3 year mark so its all swings and roundabouts.
It works out my car has retained around 60% of the sum I paid for it which, compared with other makes residuals, is brilliant! I was well chuffed.

New standard radio display is a lot squarer and looks a tad better than the current FL one, of which I not a fan. I'd made up my mind there was no way was I going to order a new Leon without the far superior display of the Media system. In the end I went the whole hog and ordered the Tech pack.

I pick my car up Tuesday, and to be honest I would prefer the black alloys to a DAB radio. I live in the hills I can't get channel 5 never mind a DAB signal:D

Yeah I hope the wheels are worth it. Although prefer better exterior look than DAB

The Leon went up £300 with VAT and a £300 price hike from Jan orders. In effect you are paying the same well £70 + the VAT increase. My MK1 Leon Cupra is still the car I lost the least on even after an Audi, 6 BM's and a Merc which I lost the most on!!! The new FL FR TDi is suppose to be very strong residual wise in the end it is down to supply and demand but the FR TDi does temd to be sought after especially in the right spec.

We orded a media pack but due to the salesman cocking up came with the standard stereo thankfully still had bluetooth. Have a top of the range TomTom for now courtesy of SEAT and when I can find one will retro fit the RNS 310. I do like the current stereo very clear and easy to use will pass judgment on the new display when I see it.

I just spoke to a nice sales chap at Willoughby's, who explained that the refreshed standard radio will be featured across the range for any new cars ordered now. The DAB feature is only on the optional satnav/stereo - the Seat Media System or whatever it's called.
However apparently the MY2011 refresh also includes a couple of other minor tweaks - from what I recall the range is more limited in terms of colours available but there is 'new plastics for the SE interior'... which I'm interested to hear as I'm looking at getting an SE. Fingers crossed, 'new plastics' means better plastics rather than worse! ;)

the problem with the black alloys is that they are painted and lacquered ,not powder coated so are prone to chipping after 3000 miles mine are shot :(
