Erh no it wont the centre part might but the back box is completely different!

My mk4 golf system would not fit on my leon without cutting the rearbox bracket off and welding it in a different place although everything else was fine inc the downpipe.

Maybe its because I bought it second hand and it had been fitted to the golf in a different way.

I see your at Miltek so if you could give us a definate answer it might save us a few quid as there seem to be more second hand golf systems than leon ones coming up for sale :D

We list the same part numbers for both the Leon Mk1 1.8T (not LCR) and Golf Mk4 1.8T.

The part numbers are :

Downpipe - MSVW257
Centre section - MSVW167 or MSVW167REP
Axle pipe - MSVW168
Rear Silencer - MSVW169 or MSVW170

I hope this helps.

Yeah great help ''looks on ebay for cheap golf exhausts'' :cartman:

I guess the powerflow man bodged mine up on the golf I got it from

i cross referenced numbers before i bought a golf mk4 one and the box was too wide and wouldnt fit, the tailpipes wouldnt come out in the cut out area at all. i bought it for £55 and sold it for £100 on ebay so all wasnt lost!

tbh I wanted to ask a broader question in regards to this, i was surprised to see that such a large site with so many members, there isn't a section in relation to this, well 'interchangeable parts', being a previous French car enthusiast (I know, I know they suck big balls), we had a whole list of parts, part numbers, after market parts that were interchangeable between the range, it would be handy if a few of use here would do the same, and say make it a sticky

Most Mk4 golf parts are far cheaper then Audi/Seat parts, obviously because mk4 golfs are more common

Old thread but, did it fit? It's much easier to find parts for Golf Mk4 and TT mk1 etc. I'm thinking about buying a de-cat and weld in a 200 cell cat (cheaper than buying full downpipe with 200 cell included). Would be nice to know

OEMPC

You could try cross referencing your part there.

Find your car and the part. In the part specific page then you can click on the various markets (US/Mex etc) and see what other cars it is shared with.

Main question is yes it will. Mk4 golf is the same as a mk1 Leon with a different skin. Parts differ as do the engine spec, match engine/turbo first.
