hi got a quick question
car goes in for service at end of the month and i was wondering what would be the best high performance engine oil i could get for mk2 leon cupra 2.0t fsi?
thanks
iv looked up the oil on the millers website and it came bake with 3 diffrent types for my spec of car,
FX LONGLIFE 5W30
XFS 5W40
TRIDENT LONGLIFE 5W30
would it make any diffrence which one i used?
why are you having to do 3000 intervals? is it coz of all the mods?
I just changed mine yesterday with VW 504/507 Spec Fully Synthetic Long Life Stuff 4000 miles after its dealerservice. It is worth while changing more often than the 10000 suggested intervals IMO, especially if your car is tuned. Oil is the life blood of your engine and turbo, and if you are running higher fuelling and a remap etc, you are going to see your oil degrade sooner.
I will change it again 3000 miles from now then to the dealer for the 40k service 3000 miles later
i agree, even on a totally standard car the oil is knackered after 10000 miles, i do mine every 5000miles and it is well on its way to being past it... i usually use the castrol VW/seat oil on the gold bottle, cant remember the type, its in the garage but im to lazy to look just now sorry
I'd Just make sure the dealer put some in first ! I had to put some in mine at the weekend as it had managed to use it's full allotment of oil in 4.5k (5 months !!)..
Makes me think the "oil top up" they did was just to the min on the dipstick !
got 5 litres of Mobil 1 New Life 0w-40 fully synthetic oil yesterday. approved for vw 502 00/505 00. will this be for a cupra tfsi? just planning on changing the oil myself half way between services
+1 this is correct 504 for gas 507 for diesel motors. Mobil 1 & castrol edge the best of the best. 504 norm is the type that help reduces deposits on intake valves...
