Dont judge a car's just by their 0-60. How often is that used?? Its in gear and moving speeds which are the most important. The standard FR is 30BHP down and does make a difference as the turbo is not running as much boost higher up the rev range. Both car's will map to the same but i'd give it a little time before doing that.

Whats the Cupra 3000??

Think he meant 3000 miles on the clock.

Right right i get your point about the boost nice 1 mate.

Also have a look at IMG seat in Warrington i got my cupra and my mum got her 1.4 sport (after seeing my cupra lol) from them. Was really good friendly service kept us informed what was goin on all the time. I delt with a guy called Matthew top service :)

I would buy yours techie if you offered finance and if I could afford the insurance on it hahah. Good luck with the sale though!

well just went to have a look at a fr and see what finance deals they can do etc... seems pretty decent. will keep you all updated though :)

You'll have loads of fun with the FR, part of me wanted the Cupra, but love the FR now I've got it.
The insurance is all good on it aswell :)

I'm waiting to see if i get accepted for the finance if so i should have my car in the next week n a bit or so :)

just got a phone call my finance went through :D :D :D

soooo... just waiting for a phone call in the next few days to sign the papers so will probs be doing it on thursday and then going to pick up my new car on friday :D

does anyone know how long it takes to pick up a car from dealers lol as in like waiting times etc? because i have uni at 11 on friday but was thinking i could go to the garage at 9 do you all think it could all be done and dusted by 10 then leaving me a hour to drive back to uni?

When i picked my Boc up it took about an hour and forty five minutes, although that included me having to run to the local post office in rush hour to buy my own tax... So i imagine if the papers are all signed before hand then it's just a case of ringing the insurance company up and starting the engine!

Think I was in an out within an hour, including time to look round and get some free mats as the valet monkey had put a faint scratch down the side.
Didnt get a full tour though to check everything that could be there was, was lucky, but make sure you check all options are on, that the pdi has been stamped in etc etc, mine wasn't and I didn't notice til first service time.

ohhh okay then. well i think im going to go down on thursday and sign all the papers etc... and then friday collect. just waiting to be called tomorrow to confirm it. I think ill just ask him tomorrow when he rings like how long it will take. am so exitied :D

I was done in about 20 mins, they showed me all the bluetooth and that too in that time! providing they've sorted all your tax and everything before you get there it shouldn't take long at all :)
Did you go for the FR in the end then?

Yeh they had just a standard fr in white waiting there. I Really wanted the upgraded light bulbs and a few extra bits and bobs but if i ordered my car i wouldn't have got it in time for the no VAT offer, so like weighing things up it made more sense to get the car now financially and i can't moan about options and stuff that i never had on the car in the first place lol.

Hows your fr on petrol and stuff?

oh actually ignore the bit about whats it like on petrol jst realised you have derv lol

As said, would steer WELL clear of Stockport, bought my Cupra from there, because I travelled 2 hours to get it, I signed and got the car on the same day.
At about 1pm I was told to go to town for the papers to go through, nearly 3 hours later, still no phone call. Rang the garage, 'oh yes, the papers are all fine, pop back to us'
Went back to the garage, I waited nearly 3 hours AGAIN for them to sign and hand the car over to me, the car wasn't valeted or anything. An absolute shamble IMO, never going there again, and also, NEVER EVER go to Seat at Swindon Motorpark, they sold my current Leon to me with flat spots on ALL four wheels, nearly had a legal battle until the fessed up and are now in the process of paying a nice sum of over £1k+ for new shiny wheels :)
I test drove a Boc in Sheffield, very helpful and friendly, and didn't mind me booting it :p

Danny.

dannychapman. Swindon are who i got my boc off and i concur, a bunch of idiots. Was almost enroute to buy a cupra that i had prearrange to buy off them 5 days before hand. Rang in the morning to make sure all was ok and was then told the car was sold over two weeks previously... That's when i found they had a boc and went for that instead.

lol swindon is a S***hole if you ask me as i live not too far away from there, no offence to people that live there, but i swear everytime i drive through it is pouring with rain!? then you get past it and its sunny?! anyway to this subject, the FR is nice and obviously you can get a remap for it which will bring it to the same power as the cupra? so either way that you look at it you can get plenty of power, and there are obviously going to be plenty of stuff to change on the car if you do start to get a wee bit bored. like me and my cupra =\ need more power now, i blame everyone on here for starting to modding and me seeing that! Although it beat a 530 BMW this weekend, he werent happy when i just smiled over :D but these cars are lots of fun! you will enjoy the little beaut! i cant really comment on what dealers are good as i never been to them? as i just got mine through where dad works.
