What Sort of Mods can you do to the Leon with Vagcom?

Nice one. Car is going for an MOT today. Will ask them to have a look at the "lock/unlock indicator flash" via vag com. I have a feeling mine is turned off as I've checked everything else.

Hey guys. As above I gave the "LOCK/UNLOCK INDICATOR FLASH" instructions to my garage while I was getting an MOT. I got the car back with the chirp activated lol. They said those instructions do NOT tell you how to make the indicators flash...they only activate the chirp which is actually quite cool lol. (I know it's illegal but it is very quiet) Is this a mistake in the document? Any instructions for the indicators?

If I got the VAG COM tool for £20, can I do all this myself? (like the 065 u280 tool)
My lack of flashing is either due to it being turned off or a dodgy door sensor, have tried everything else.
If my car now chirps when locking/unlocking, would that not mean the indicators should fash seen as channel 07 was turned on? Looking at the PDF, channel 07 is the LOCK chirp and your post above says channel 07 activates the indicator flash. Hope that makes sense lol.

Yeah wont flash if you have any dodgy sensor can be doors boot/bonnet.
If the interior light comes on on each door opening be the bonnet switch i bet.

I tested the bonnet switch by making a circuit and breaking it with the bonnet open and it works but lights still don't flash with the my home made circuit using the bonnet switch. Lights go off when doors + boot are closed and come on when I open them. Pain in the ass but at least I have a chirp now haha.
