I've been running remapped for about 6 months now. Absolutely no problems at all and it certainly made a difference. One of the problems I find with remaps is you soon get used to your new found power and you get onto a slippy slope of wanting more! 0-60 times I would have thought drop down to around the Golf mk5 GTI times. In fact I've had a few opportunities with a couple of Golf GTI's and proved it. And of course 30-50 and 50-70 feel much more sharp. I like seeing peoples faces now when I get on the motorway and floor it in 3rd to watch peoples faces as they dissapear in my rear view mirror. What people with the De-DPF and stage 2 map must feel must be immense![]()
I've been running a remap on my TDI FR for coming up to 3 years... no problems!
(I've got a PD engine)
had my remap done by p-torque (http://p-torque.co.uk/)..... Will (p-torque tuner) use to offer discounts to the forum users, no idea if he still does....
And if you want fast 0-60 times, don't get a diesel!![]()
I too have the pd engine. I'm looking for a stable remap as what I've been reading is that certain pd engines have DPF issues when they are remapped and I don't want to go with a DPF delete ive been there done that, had issues with DPF light and car going into limp mode.
I'll look into p- torque...
I went for the **************** Map and its pretty good so far. I also have the self tuning system (STS) so I can take it back to normal if I need to in about 4 minutes![]()
Yes it was nick who I brought it off, with the delete she was ace but I soon had issues with the DPF light then car going into limp mode so I took no risks and had the DPF back reinstalled.
Now with no map I really miss the power!!!
