Been thinking about investing in a snow foam set up for a while now but now with the car on the way it's going to be a must. Problem is i don't even have a pressure hose at the moment and can't afford to spend hundreds on that alone.

If you have Good pressure from your regular tap you could try a Gilmour foamaster 2,i've been using one for 4+ years and still going great. Never going to be the same as a foam lance but certainly cheaper (and easier) than using a powerwasher each time. Find the foam doesnt cling as long as a proper lance but its more than enough for how dirty my car gets

Be cautious as a high ratio of TFR in the snow foam not only strips the dirt off but the protective layer of Wax/Polish and if its strong enough eventually the laquer on the paint. Not cool.

Thankfully Magifoam is wax safe so should be sorted.

Its wax friendly so its fine :D, probably the best foam available atm I reckon, definately gets a near touchless wash on a well waxed car.

Is the snow foam instead of a wash, or is this as a pre-wash?

Pre-wash to remove, loosen the dirt prior to shampoo'ing to help reduce risk of marring the paint.

But during the bad weather and being short for time I just give the car a foam.. let it dew for 20mins pressure rinse off and leaves the car 85-90% clean which is respectable enough for how the weather has been lately.
