Thanks Steve, I will look into the 40mm Eibach's. Why do I need my drive by wire throttle resetting and how do I know if I have one?

To be honest I'm not sure if yours is drive-by-wire or not but when I had a look I couldn't see an obvious throttle cable. Hopefully someone else here will have more of an idea?

If yours is DBW the throttle alignment will have reverted to its default setting when you disconnected the battery to fit that jolly nice leather steering wheel you have. Take a look at this thread. You mentioned you were getting poor fuel economy, even on a decent run, and this could be caused by your TB needing setting up properly.

If yours isn't DBW then I'd probably start checking the mass air flow sensor for failure. I'm sure you should be getting better MPG, at least another 5-10MPG on top of the 28 you mentioned.

BTW any idea what model your steering wheel came from? It's much nicer than mine and I'm jealous!

Ah yes I see, ill look into it further, I did manage to get 31.5mpg out of it on the run up the A19 to Stockton On Tee's to collect the Starfish alloys, but that was taking it dead steady at 60-65mph...one blast up to 75 to overtake a lorry and that was it. I was told my steering wheel was from a 2004 Cupra...

Cheers, looks like that's the next thing on my shopping list - after I've fixed my rear window washer... And bought some new tyres... And got the chip in my windscreen fixed... and bought some new brake discs and pads... Funny how these cars have a way of preventing you from ever having too much cash

Ha! Yea I know what you mean! Theres a nice leather wheel on ebay at the moment, just type in Seat Leon Leather Steering Wheel.

he swapped my rear unscratched nearly new rear door pulls onto the front so it now looks much better, since the back doors dont get used, i dont mind the scratched ones being there.

Genius! Doing that tomorrow mine are rough as rats!

Just had a quick look on Venom's site to see what Eibach offer Leon owners and this looks like the kit for you. They're not the cheapest kits around but they are well made and the ride quality will be firmer but not harsh. This kit is a 30mm drop at the front, 20-25mm at the rear and from experience Eibach will have done their homework to arrive at these specs.

Another bargain bought on ebay this evening, a set of Seat Sport seats and door cards. Now I have a question, the door cards that are included have rear power windows, and my car does not, what do u guys think to cutting a hole in the door card and having the roll-up handle fitted, or how difficult is it to make them electric?

Depends on the colour combo.
Mine were electric front and manual rear like yours but the door card colours matched my original ones so I left them as is.

Well, not much of a mod but I bought a SEAT number plate surround on ebay, been described to me as "cheap tack" by other members but I quite like it, and it holds my number plate on better!

My Helper: He was on "bunny patrol" in the garden making sure I didnt get attacked by any bunnies while I was sitting on the floor putting it on.
