looking at intake temp i wouldn't run any more advance timing and cf on cylinder 1 in 4th shows that its about at it limit at 5.3 which i think maximum is 6 from my limited knowledge but your logs look good 177 gs sounds about right for a stage 2 revo map

Yeah that did have me a bit worried about adding any more, I think its me getting used to the power rather than the car getting slower.. it is definitely leaning out top end so hoping a new pump will fix that.

from what i've read on numerous mk3 threads, stock fuel pump is an issue on some stage 2 maps , so might be the cause of issues , don't get me wrong i'm not an expert like bill is

What he says. ^^^^^

High cfs are probably a cause of high intake temps, 57 is way high. What was the ambient?

Change the in tank one on an old OE pump on stage 2.

Ambient was about 5-10 deg.. do you think the intake temps are because the cooler isnt good enough.. its a forge one but its quite old.. i may look into wmi and set up a better air feed to the filter.

well taught forge ones are rated over 400bhp ? r tech told me water/meth aint worth it on k03s is the case ? would love bills opinion on this matter

maybe the fact that its running lean topend could be the reason the intake temps are going through the roof?
Bill has commented on this thread before so he should be getting the notifications..

No way is the forge unit rated to 400. 300 is a push, the pipework and core is just too small.

Change the pump and go from there.

What plugs are and petrol are you using?

Im not running anywhere near 300 so it should be fine for me.. Plugs are about 2 weeks old and are bkr7eix all gapped to 0.8.. petrol anything with 99 octane.. i.e. optimax.. tesco momentum99 are the 2 main ones.

forge ibiza fmic and pipework is too small for the figure you mention... no way would it support that airflow without high pressure loss and high temps.

I would look to your pipes for oil for high Cf's also, as if its breathing heavy the oil fume will effectively derate your octane rating severely..

wmi on k03 hybrids works well and I get another 15-20bhp out of them from the cooling and meth contribution. Best result yet being Aarons ibiza which managed 283bhp from 1.4bar boost.

WMI will combat temps but your temps do seem quite high, as the forge fmic does cool pretty well on k0x turbos for which is was designed for.

I have always noticed I have pretty oily pipes.. i havent got an oil catch can fitted though.. could this be the problem?

I might take the intercooler and all the pipes off and clean them out with some thinners and fit a catch tank.

hmmm. not 100%

I would get a working N75 for which the software was written for.. Question if the N75 was'nt cause for the erratic boost and something else was, the mbc has masked its issue.
if its holding boost like that tho, thats a little more then k03s normally do that I've seen

I watched the boost guage through 4th last night and it spikes 24-25psi holds 21psi untill 5000rpm, then from 5000-6000rpm drops from 21-17psi, and from 6000 onwards drops to 14-15psi.

My boost guage is accurate as i have pressurised the system to 30psi with my boost leak tester and the boost guage sits bang on 30psi aswell.

I did mention your car smelt 'oily', but it was hard to get a good look over the car and test stuff as I dont have tools at home. I changed from the Forge cooler to the ProAlloy cooler as the Forge item is only rated for stage 2 cars making no more than 230bhp ish. They just cant flow and cool well enough. I saw 20 -30 deg temp drops after fitting and that was on a K03.

If you went to 225 injectors then you would need a larger maf and the map changing to suit.

Im stacked with racing and private work for the next month, but we can arrane a day for you to pop over to work so i can have a better look round the car and throw the wideband on to check fueling.

Its deffo worth getting a catch can on to stop the oil getting into the intake pipe and the inlet mani.

I also have a used TT fuel pump at work for sale. Even with my BT i still had the stock intake pump fitted. The inline pump did help though!

Yeah it just clicked the other day that you said it smelt oily which does make sense.
The forge cooler has so many sharp changes in angles its obvious how restrictive it is.

As for the pump keep hold of that for me i'll take that off your hands.

I have the catch can coming in the post now so that should be fitted before i come and see you. Ill also be cleaning out all the crap from the cooler, pipes and inlet manifold so I shouldnt have that problem anymore.

Getting the wideband on it would be great as its really hard to tell from the logs but it seems to be maxing the injectors after 5700rpm and is running lean..

When are you thinking you may have some free time? Beginning of April?

Right a few logs after..

Completely cleaning the oil from Intercooler, inlet mani, and boostpipe
Fitting Catch tank
Fitting Phenolic gasket.

Have noticed inlet temps have dropped a bit and also there is a hell of a lot less timing pull.. I personally think i could add some more timing..

g/s are roughly the same as last time.. maybe a bit more mid range

have to note that it was about 3deg ambient in the last set of logs and more like 13deg this time..

Anyway have a look and tell me what you think.

The car feels alot crisper now so definitely making some progress.. I think a bit more timing could be added as I only think its on revo timing 6 at the mo

its got a manual boost controller on so boost makes no difference.. but yes timing can be advanced i reckon.. I just have to wait for alex to check this thread so I can borrow his SPS again ;)

hopefully with the added timeing should pull a few more g/s

Managed to do a boost log today.. just to double check my boostguage is reading right.. and its holding 1.43bar at pretty much 6k when I let off which is crazy for a K03s.. it will still hold near that if I push it more but its running lean top end so I didnt..

The requested boost is so low because its set at like B5 before I fitted the unos.
