K04-023 rebuild

I am thinking of converting my Ibiza cupra to a K04 turbo.

I was going to buy the turbo 2nd hand but for piece of mind rebuild it myself. I have seen the rebuild kits floating about for around £30 and I was just wondering if they are all ill need.. (assuming the turbo doesnt have any major mechanical issues)
And has anyone done this before.. any tips or advice?

cheap parts will end up failing send it to cr turbos or a turbo company near you £100-150 to have it re built plus you would get 12 moths warrenty

I was expecting alot more ££ for a rebuild, probably the safer bet I know but part of me still wants to do it myself and use better quality bits.. does anyone know if they have to be balanced after a rebuild??
