Thanks for the help with the maths.... but isn't £16.5k < £22k?

But the loan wouldn't have been 15k should the £4k been put as deposit....

I had racing brakes and xens added, brakes were 1500 i think + the vat xens cant remember. Either way your right my upgrades are dead money, but your always the loser buying a brand new car i spose.

Do i regret it? Naaaa im young and stupid and got no mortgage lol!

Sorry yea i forgot to mention the car is a 10 plate is think. Its the solutions finance which is where you can use the car to trade back in to start again or buy it out i think? Didn't tell me how much it would be too buy it out though.

Didn't actually credit check though and i think he said the APR was 12.5%, not really sure where the figure came from.

Probably easier looking for a good 5 year loan! lol

Really do not see the point in an end lump sum, all ur doing is leasing the car and if you dont pay the end lump you have to re-lease another car. Fair enuff if you got the money to buy a new car every 3 years but but i just dont see an upside in keeping payments down if you wanna keep it.

Think i pay £500 a month for my boc with a 4k deposit and my insurance is just over £1500 a year. Im 22 now but atleast its my car after these 3 years and if i decide to sell it its probs worth alot more then garuenteed value.

Because I dont earn a lot of money now as im technically on a graduate scheme with my company, However in 2 years when my pay goes up by £7K Ill be able to afford a bit more and pay off the car.

I also have a morgage and other bills to pay so you know lifes a bitch when your out in the world and this gives me a way of having a nice car for a few years and if any problems come at the end I can refinance the car and carry on.

Well I've got a 1.4 sc and Im paying £118 for 36 month on a pcp. 3k deposit and the. The final payment at end. O think i got a reasonable good deal. Lily

I got a 1.6tdi sport with every extra Should of been something like 17.5k

Expensive I know and I would of got a different car but I needed low insurance as my lady was learning to drive and is now driving it too.

Do the PCP and Solutions go off different APR's? Because i was told it would cost me more a month for 5 year PCP than a 42 month Solutions.

Yeah, but nobody walks in & pays list

Some do but if your a hero its possible to get decent discounts :D

I managed 1k off and that was ordered in 2009 when they were brand new and also 15% VAT
The APR is stupidly high though. I dont even want to work out what i'm paying total!

got my cupra for £12.5K (£2500 part x and £1500 off list price) no extras tho :(.... pay £248p/m for 3 yrs and then have a reasonable final payment... think i got my finance at 6.7% ish

Finance is quite high with SEAT, ordered my new vRS Estate and getting 2% with Skoda Finance. If they drop the rate to 0% before the car arrives I get the 0% deal.

Plus I got 20% off the car with the VAT deal :)

Not many more options!

Don't buy the car if you think you'll struggle to pay it off every month - you don't have to have a brand new car. Maybe buy a second hand one for now then in a couple more years get one on finance.

The major problem is if you miss one payment they'll have you by the balls. Plan ahead and make sure you know you can afford to pay X amount each month for 3 / 5 years. Regardless, best of luck with it if you decide to do it!

Well they are 10 plate 2k miles cars im looking at, the car actually only came out in 09 i think so you can't get much older.

I can afford the payments now really but it is the fact of going from an all out payed for car ( Even though it is only a C2 VTR xD) to having to fork out £200 a month.

There are plenty of other warm hatches out there for alot less money, but iv got used to semi auto in my car and iv decided with myself i want to stick with that, and that leaves not many choices! haha
