Well they are 10 plate 2k miles cars im looking at, the car actually only came out in 09 i think so you can't get much older.

I can afford the payments now really but it is the fact of going from an all out payed for car ( Even though it is only a C2 VTR xD) to having to fork out £200 a month.

There are plenty of other warm hatches out there for alot less money, but iv got used to semi auto in my car and iv decided with myself i want to stick with that, and that leaves not many choices! haha

Indeed I know the MK5 only came out in 2009, what I was getting at is go for something different all together for now maybe a late MK4 if you like the shape that is, then when your in a better financial position step up. Your only 22 you still have a long time to get finance, not always best to get tied down to finance at an early age.

As an alternative maybe go to a smaller dealer that sells SEAT's and try to work out a finance deal with them, you may find you'll get a better deal.

Well im on my second car now in 2 and a bit years driving, my next car is a keeper and the fr is everything i want + decent insurance and economy. Its not a matter of me wanting it, its a matter of needing it! :D

3 cars been driving 2 years oops doing my grandad proud he is addicted to 3 series BMW's gets a brand new one every 3 years

Just put a deposit down on a 1.2 TSI Sport today, managed to get 3.3% APR on PCP.

If possible, ask if you can speak to the business sales manager, he managed to get the APR at that rate as well as managing to waiver the fee for fitting and spraying the body kit. Will be paying £227 a month over 3 1/2 years with £1300 deposit and £4382 balloon payment at the end with option to switch to HP.

Just keep at it and remember to throw some quotes from what your bank would give you loan wise into the conversation, good luck!

How did you manage to get 3.3% APR? One of the first things i asked was about balloon payments at the end, to lower monthly payments and he said the 2 finances don't do that :/.

I don't really have anywhere to stand to wager a deal because im not in the position to just say give me a deal now and ill buy it.

It was the Business sales manager who gave us that rate after my dad quoted some figures that his bank would offer him loan wise (think it was something like 6.4%?).

The salesperson who we were dealing with had to go and ask him if they could match/better it since she didn't know how to change it all on the system.

So, it must be possible.

Best bit of advice I can give is wait until you are in a position to buy one, then ask if you can have a quote and just say that you'll probably just get a loan with your bank and throw in a figure lol.
