louder dv noise?

honestly mate, if the split r wasnt set up properly who ever did it shouldnt be touching cars. its prob the easiest thing ever

@£120 they aint cheap, iv got alot of visually mods to do so might try this in a few months. Unless i find sumone who wana swap for a 007, my mate has a Split-R on his cupra i might try and borrow for a week to test out

Does get annoying in reverse after about 2 weeks!!! just leave it how it was.
DV noise isn't important in my opinion, Tried everything with mine reversing 007 and using a split r and both were annoying after a while. just have the 007 the normal way and a nice panel filter this is the best set up to me.

Lots of guys fiddle with things on there cars here that don't need to be played with (like split r valve n249 bypass etc) and in some cases making them worse. Just do what captain cupra says!! drive the damn thing!!

Totally agree with your additional views mate, watch Mike "Holdfast" Olson's video on the YouTube he pretty much sums this whole anti keyboard mechanic just get out and drive attitude up perfectly, good vid too.

I dont have my 007 in reverse but i can tell you it was made to work both ways, even forge say so.

I'm not so sure tbh mate, it obviously has a function to work one way, in reverse goes against the way it was clearly designed.

It's designed to work both ways jim wether it acts on the side or the bottom it dose the same job unles your running 30 psi it won't make a difference

I uprated mine on standard map to a green I think?? Held boost alot better so assume the same would be the case for re mapped.

Hated reverse as i said. I swear it made the car perform less this way round and sometimes on the motorway it would constantly squeek till i lifted of the throttle. must of been boost pressure lifting the piston up couldn't of been good. i swapped it and all is better and no problems and its staying that way.

Forge do say it can be used either way but my advise is don't bother its crap! and the splitter valve is even worse! its too quiet! i had to remove the bonnet lining and open the window to hear it. again dont bother.

Just my opinion!!!

Forums are an avenue for voicing your opinions, in my mind it's what it's all about, helping someone to form a decision based on your own personal experience of products, totally agree with you mate.

For me a car can sound as mental as hell with wooshes and pops but if it looks a sack of poo then I'm not interested, I prefer the understated sleeper approach, having a loud dv just to me says look at me I have a turbo, we bought VAG for a reason not CHAV! Were better than that silliness! In my humble opinion.....

So the reason you brought an LCR is so you could have a dv? i think you should sell it and buy a punto gt with a Baileys dv26 Dump Valve!
Open cone and n249 bypass if you want some more tsssssssssss noise init
