Was very impressed with the sales and service I got from Laurence Davies Senior sales guy and a very good deal that beat quite a dew other garages after a ring around for the best price.

Was a very professional and courteous experience and he was both open and honest a rarity from the sales side of things!!

Now picked the car up from Bristol street Derby had a slight hicup on the Finance that it had been put through as a FR TDi instead of FR TSi. Meant I would of been out of pocket but to their credit they owned up to the mistake and absorbed the difference so I actually gained on an already excellent deal.

Car was well preped and the overall experience has been one of the best dealer experiences, mainly down to friendly, open and courteous service from the salesperson Laurence Davis.

picking our new car up today been preped as i write, been told the car had a upgrade with a sat nav unit,
the sales ppl are great very helpfull.

Oh dear what a blow especially after just 2 hours of ownership. At least your not at fault and ok and without a new car for a bit longer as well

What Leon did you get?

well i bought my car from these las july and i can say since i bought it there have been awful! went in to my local dealership (leicester) 1st june for new rad under warranty and for the next two weeks i got messed about like mad leicester refused to fix it under warranty derby didnt wanna know until i threatened to return he car if the warranty no good for anything then bewtween to the two companys they blamed each other for the delay in it bein fixed took 3 weeks to get it fixed and wen it was finally fixed i couldnt have it back till derby paid for it!! it was the biggest mess about i have ever known from a so called preoffseinal outfit! no customer service no manners took me 3 and half weeks in the end to have a one day job done!!

well the hire car we getting is a 4x4 kuga, a focus on steroids. ours goes in for accessment in 12 days not sure if they write it off, as the boot floor is bent and the sound of rushing air, if they do just we order another in day glow orange :) hrm maybe a expensive claim 44 quid a day rental plus car.

Ouch at least you have a decent hire car. Sounds like quite an impact if the floor is bent. New car is better as long as you do not have to wait three months for anew one!!!

Only used Derby once for service when it was GK seemed ok. Sounds like the usual garage trying to push the blame and cost's off :censored:

if it`s written off yep 3 month wait if we have to order a new one see how it goes.

I've used Derby a few times when it was GK, decent enough for servicing on my previous car Mk4 Ibiza FR TDi. I took it there for the last time (before P/ex) in July and it was then Bristol Street, got a good deal on the service as they said the regular Seat one was £170 but they could do it for £100, sound. Car was cleaned inside and out too.
Nipped in this morning to order the lower glove box and the spares guy was very helpful and it should be in ready for collection early next week. He wasn't aware that you could get this part and said he was going to get himself one for his own car!!
Ironically a local VAG specialist on Ascot drive (German automotive) is now more expensive for service than the main dealer.

Echo that on Ascot drive being expensive. I've used Sunset and found them to be pretty reasonable.

Shame about there Darlington branch, service very inconsistent. Gave them weeks notice to book m in for mirror fault. Got there 830, on my day off having driven 25 miles, to be told you'll have to leave it we don't know when be able to look at it....:censored:

Now been without my car 2 days as seems they need as many mechanics to fix a light bulb as you need social workers to change a light bulb. Won't buy my next car there for sure

Got my 2013 Speed Blue Ibiza FR 1.2TSI from Derby recently.
Jonathan (the salesman) was awesome, a great help.

The price was unbeatable especially as this is now a rare colour for 2013 (no longer made) they could have added more ££ to the price.

£11,971.. bargain!

will never buy another car off them

whatever you do ......do not leave your car with them, always wait for it if in for warranty or service

they bumped mine last week whilst in for warranty work and they let me drive it away without telling me. lucky I spotted it and went straight back. quality of repair was crap they tried to bodge it so ive rejected it

had nothing but chew with them, I hope your cars reliable as they are a bunch of muppets

Seats are a reliable car shame the dealers don't know about customer care

also look at a thread in leon mk 2 by petecog, hes had issues with Bristol Street as well

Lucky for me I actually live 120miles from Derby, so I wouldn't take mine back there anyway.

What had they done to yours?

Got bumped and damaged paintwork. 2 weeks on its still not sorted

Quality of repair crap, they sent car out damaged, I spotted it soon as got home, needless to say I went straight back

We tried Bristol Street, Derby. They were very nice and we got a great 1 hour test drive in the car we would actually have bought. Problem was the price, they were just too expensive and would not budge. Salesman could not understand why we were not impressed when he did not improve the deal. Saved £1800 by going elsewhere for exactly the same car and got a better servicing deal as well.
