1.8T MK2 Conversion
is there a standard fit part for the clutch pedal to say whether its up or down at all? I know theres a little hole in the pedal box for a sensor but nowhere can i find anything for it :/

all i need is pretty much the same as the brake light switch but for the clutch pedal :D

bit off topic but what are they used for anyways?

de-activating cruise control, which was never an option but the ecu brings up a fault code if it does not have the switch there.

You getting a WOT box? My mate Phil had one & was great when it worked, full on launch control which sounded like anti lag & gear changes gave huge flames but he always had problems with it.

yea as said its for cruise control really... but i want it for a launch control type thing... ive ordered what i think is the right switch :/ so well just have to wait for the findings after.

Cheers Mork think ive ordered one from a mk2 tdi... think

If it doesn't fit/work I will find the part number from the one in my car for you Ben.

legend cheers mate ^^

Dave, yea ive had it a few years now just never got round to fitting it really... so wired in everything other than the clutch switch yesterday which to be fair was a piece of cake so no idea why ive not bothered with it :/
Im going to experiment with the clutch switch too, because the way i see it itd be more beneficial to have a switch that said when the pedal was all the way down as opposed to all the way up but well see when i get it all instealled really

Wide Open Throttle... The box cuts off the rev's for a very short period of time, something in milli seconds when the clutch is pressed. This allows you to change gear without lifting off the throttle, also has launch control that holds the rev's at a selected range and once off the clutch you may go flat out again.

But the car needs a clutch switch first.
