My ibiza was losing boost all over the place, spiking 1.5 bar but dropping to .7 almost straight away so i assumed it was the actuator and promtly ordered a new Forge one. Upon removal of the turbo (ko3s) it was clear the actuator probably wasn't at fault as the hot side was riddled in large cracks to the point I'm suprised it made ANY boost. Had a spare k03 with a perfect hot side so swapped them over and thought i may as well stick the new forge actuator on seing as I had it now. So I counted the threads on the old actuator and match it with the forge, warm it up and take it for a test drive expecting it to be hitting 1.5 bar and holding at-least 1.3 and I get .5-.6 at best!!!
At first i thought this must be an electrical problem, sensor not connected or something so I crimped the pipe from the N75 to the actuator and boost is exactly the same?
I then decide that I must of miscounted the turns on the actuator so I adjust a few threads and sure enougth it boosts a little higher. I have now got all the way to the furthest inside thread on the actuator and am now hitting .9-1.0 bar, thing is I'm now out of adjustment! Am I missing something here? Anyone else got any experience with this?
Cheers
