Has anyone removed this???
Im thinking of removing mine just to smarten up the look under the bonnet and also

Are there any reasons why it should not be removed from a performance or safety point of view???

Cheers

Water. If you remove your engine cover (say for an intake) and this, you're increasing the chances of water getting in to the coils, meaning new coil packs and/or plugs at best.

Still, it might not happen.

+1. The under bonnet lining seems to act like a sponge on mine (going by the amount of mold on it). Seems SEAT still haven't managed to find a way of stopping water from getting in there even on 2011 models.

Last thing I'd do is remove what little protection from water there is.

thnx redemption i will check this vout over the weekend

Must be something wrong with your cars if that's getting wet......?
Mines just been shampooed today to match the clean detailed engine bay
Still want to get rid of it though!

Been running my car without Under Bonnet Sound Deadening and without Engine cover for well over a year now without any problems
