Im going to be fitting my G60 flywheels and VR6 clutch set up soon was looking for any advice or tips/pointers to help me along the way, Is there any special tools needed???
Thanks in advance

You'll need a clutch centring tool and a torque wrench

Otherwise, it's pretty straight forward assuming you've changed a clutch before

only advise i can give to you if you havent done a clutch before is look on youtube there might not be any ibiza gearbox videos but most 2wd gearboxs are pretty similar.

just remove all electrical connections on the gearbox and linkages driveshafts unbolt the gearbox mount and then unbolt at the bellhousing writeing it makes it sound easier than it is but its only easy if you know how like anything oh and have a ramp to work from.

Flywheel bolts are 60NM + 1/4 turn
Pressure plate bolts are 20NM

Make sure you loctite everything as said.

Gearbox removal is possibly the worst job I have ever done on my car!
It may be easier just to remove the engine mate.

Yes it will take just as long but its a lot less stressfull.
It saves removing all the passanger side suspension/wishbones ect unbolting the driveshafts, the list goes on.

You dont need to do that to get the box off.

Easiest way is to remove the draftshafts, unbolt the cups on the box (after draining the oil), unbolt the box and you'll be able to remove it easy

If you dont remove the cups you wont get it out without doing what you said.

You may be right, but I dont think the cups were the main problem it just got caught between the front crossmember & the subframe.. in the end I just removed the crossmember and out it comes.

I still think removing the engine is the easier of the 2 jobs.
