Nah not anymore. Back in november I got a custom map put on my car by a guy who came over from Finland called Mikko. I thought the j b s map was good until I got my custom job done. Made an extra 25-30 bhp across the rev range. But it is Maxed out on turbo/injectors. And smokes like a Kim. Big dirty derv lol

You should go to the ford day. My mate Andy drives a Revo stage 4 focus Rs. Rolling roared at 433 bhp and 400 odd lbs ft of torque. It's a weapon on the open road. But may struggle to gain traction at crail

I think I have raced him before! I take it its a Green one? A younger guy in his middle 20s maybe?? Has he got a blond girlfriend that sits in the car looking pretty? LOL.

Sorry wrong guy, just checked it, Mark Hamill? You know this guy? I was racing him on the 30th of October last year, RS 420BHP. lol. Missed a gear every blimey run and he beat me by a bumper length. He he he he.

I know someone with a Vbox and his driving a Sciroco R DSG with a stage 2+, his claiming to have done a 4.5 seconds 0-62mph and a 12.6 on a 1/4 mile!! This's done with street tyres and standard suspension! :wtf: I am finding this a bit hard to believe!? :think:

I think most of us find that hard to believe! No 4wd and 4.5 0-60??? Hmmm...

Correct, I have not seen it been possible with street tyres and even though if you use R888 you will find it hard to make 12.9s. Never seen a 4.5 second FWD with street tyres do this unless its 4WD!

Doesn't mention anything other than REVO Stage2+. Click on the RevoCyprus channel as they've got other vids showing Vbox etc. Seems pretty quick. If only I could get my car to go like that...lol.
 
LOL. Its actually the same guy I am talking about. If you look at the rest of his vids you will find that he uses the Vbox. I am running a full upgraded stage 2+ and I am at 350whp where he's on 317whp? I am adding some other numbers up right now.

If you work hard you can be just as quick m8!! Just be positive and you will get there one day!

Probably be easier and cheaper to get another car rather than tune mine. Will move back to a petrol when I have the funds. :)
 
If you read the small print Anthony, it says

Timing 7
&
100 Octane Fuel

In addition, it has DSG.

DSG Golfs with street tyres make mid 12's - with advanced timing and race fuel, faster should be possible :)
 
I have read the small print believe it or not Al! Its just strange that you actually believe this gibberish that most people are claiming to achieve and yet there's no evidence to support these claims!?

I cant be sand bagged by claims! Sorry, I also don't have any faith in Vbox or any other devise but a proper 1/4 mile track! If you want you can carry on with make believes and be everyone's pal....

BTW I took my car out with my friends Vbox Al,,,,,,,you know what happened?? I did not just brake your time but I smashed it with a 12.4......:think:

I am just looking for some answers and no one can really come up with a good one!? :lol:
 
There will always be someone faster at the end of the day. I am not going to lose sleep over someone beating a time I did a on the 1/4 mile a few years back now (which wasn't even the fastest 1/4 mile time anyway :))

The thing is if you take a car, add technology to allow it to change gear faster than it can with manual gears, reduce the size of the body shell and number of doors, and add enough components to allow the car to perform a little better than other comparable cars (including advanced timing and less static and rolling weight) and ensure the driver weighs four stone dripping wet, you will have a faster car.
