apparently they cant do a DPF delete without having a map available so think ive got too wait :/

You'll not be able to do dpf deletes until a remap is available, the dpf sensor needs to be mapped out and for that it'll need the ecu cracking.

yeh ive been ringing around aswell and nobody has seemed crack the re-map for our 1.6tdi engine
dunno how long itll take as nobody knows nothing i asked about the gains we should get and they have all said the same thing 30bhp+ and 60lb torque+ so these little 1.6tdi could end up around the FR power 
Even ABT who were meant to have an unofficial tie in with VAG only list a tuning box to 125bhp

i was told that, but they reckon the remap will give better gains once created and the dpf delete
how do we get hold of the tuning box from ABT? ive just been looking on there site and cant find anything ??
They have a UK dealer network (mostly audi dealers) but I'd just find the contact page on http://www.abt-sportsline.co.uk & email them.

Not sure if you can make a diesel sound good with a loud exhaust! I own a FR TDI but the last thing I'd want to do is make my car sound like a racing tractor! hehe
Don't think a performance exhaust would do that much on it's own. Possibly a DPF delete would make it more responsive, but until someone works out how to remap the 1.6TDI, decent performance gains are going to be hard to achieve.
I had a decat and mufflerectomy on my old PD130 and it sounded pretty damn good for a diesel
but no a backbox on it's own will do little if anything at all for power, unless you cough up for a full system.Where was yours from mate? I'm interested in getting one until a re-map becomes available...My tuning box made a definate improvement on the 1.6tdi although not sure on exact figures. It was alot punchier and made overtaking on motorway effortless. Nothing compared to the cupra though haha
