You don't get climate or cruise. I know its not giving the gti much of a fight saying that haha, but I don't miss either. Opted for the xnenons and drl over the climate, I was gutted about having the standard twist dials for the heating but I haven't missed it! Best thing to do as az has mentioned is to go see one and drive it. I think you'll see why their more money, and you certainly know why when you live with one.

Tbh you might not need them but when it's the flagship model it should have simple things like climate control and cruise control my fr tdi had those as standard do you get Bluetooth?

Polo is more expensive / will hold value better due to the badge stuck on it.

Cupra is better looking i think, but the polo will probably be superior in terms of build quality / reliability....

reliability wont come into it, engines are the same. build quality will as the dash might be better build but for me the interior was much worse in style i liked the boca seat patterns more and the dashboard with the fake carbon albeit cheesey just won me over. only one or two rattles and i fixed them myself :)

both lovely cars but as others said i prefered the rarity of the boca.

I would like to upgrade to the new Suzuki Swift Sport has alot of kit for the money.... although i don't think Suzuki understands what power means yet...... needs a turbo in their 1.6 engine or better yet wait until the GT-86/BRZ on the second-hand market.

For me they have not got the engine right in the GT86/BRZ as the torque is to high for me as I'm not keen on reving engine's, no need for it IMO. . .

When was your test drive? I was thinking of getting a go, but I didn't know there were any here yet

Not had one yet, I'm going on the specification from the Toyota website & recent road reports. . .

Its designed to have the delivery that way, ive read a huge article with the cars designers, they pretty much thought about everything.

As for the GTI, not really an upgrade, nither is the golf in my opinion, i drove a 11 plate golf for around a month and yeah it was ok, not much quicker than my ibiza at-all, the interior was nice but very plain in terms of looks, quality is there but im a designer by nature so care more about the way its looks and contrast's with the car.

Id say and upgrade would be leon Cupra/Megane 265/ED35 something like that.

Personally the interior is an upgrade for quality
But for exterior its a tuff one but I would say the Ibiza wins it provided it has skirts and spolier :p

How they like power wise?

it wasnt that easy to test it tbh but the engine didnt feel gutless but it is very revy :)

the chassis though is a whole other story, the gear shift is more solid than anything i have ever felt, the steering is incredible as well very responsive. As far as modding goes it is a fabulous base but i feel the supercharged TRD version could be a winner!

I test drove the Fabia VRS, Ibiza Cupra and the Polo GTI when deciding on my new car and by far the most stable in driving and most cossetting in quality was the Polo GTI.

Would I go as far as saying that if I had one of the other two that the Polo would be an upgrade? Probably yes for the Skoda (as it is based on an older platform), but not for the Ibiza.

Yes it is more expensive initially, but it will hold it's value better and probably age better cosmetically too. [B)]

Are they bringing out a polo r?

The rumours look strong, latest one I've seen is having the 2ltr tfsi producing 220 but other rumours of using a new 1.6tfsi seems a better option?? Though there claiming 250hp which surely can't be right?

depending on price i would also love the 2.0T polo, gorgeous engine, you'd home a cupra r version would come out with similar spec, but i doubt it.

Yeah it has a decent reputation but just seems a big engine for the polo. Imagine the tuning capabilities

Also, am I right in saying the r will be 4 wheel drive? So tuning and more power would be handled great to!

Hope so would be immense itl be expensive though shame :(

Have you seen the new Merc A-Class AMG coming out, one of the nicest looking hatch's IMO, look's soooo good!

Twin turbo 2.0 with 350BHP and 4WD! :D
