at the weekend i fitted a oil catcher can and removed the pcv hoses car feels abit smoother since doin it andwhile fitting it i noticethe bung on my gear box was missing so iv ordered one of them now

heres the pipe work i removed

cheers mate

it one i got off ebay i didnt av 19mm fitting so drilled hole a fitted screw in air line fittings off ebay and filler the old holes in its not the best lookin job iv done with it

fitted a new n75 after hearin it stop the flutter on toms car when in boost in the higher gears.

well the car boosts smoother but still in 5th and 6th iv had flutter sound and car does seem the pull as well, if i sit at 60ish and put my foot down as the boost picks up it has a flutery sound and doesnt pull as strong

anyone know wht it could b it only seems to do it in 5th and 6th mainly

I get that too, a bit in 4th but more in 5th and 6th. So far I've tried new N75, undoing the N249 bypass, fixed some boost leaks, various things. I'll be interested to find out what you try, I've pretty much run out of patience trying to fix it.

well car is stage 2 with stage 2 supporting mods it even made the noise when on a stage 1 map with the stage 2 suporting mods

so is it the boost to high for the car or is there something else needed to handle the boost as it doesnt feel fast and no different on stage 2 as it was on stage1

usually associated with initial boost spike, which is exaggerated on higher load (5th 6th gear foot down from low rpms.... = max torque request )

the onset is until ~4200rpm where it would stop normally.

even if i dont boot it go half throttle it flutters as boost builds over 2500rpm

car still has hugh loss of power over 5000-5500rpm in higher gears as well iv replased the fmic to a bigger one and fitted a jetex filter as amd said it was a restiction makin it loss power but still feels same as it did before i changed the parts

what may be half throttle at pedal is more at throttle body..
get the map checked..
can you do some logs with vcds to post up?
