Forge short shifter

Can anyone tell how easy these are to fit? I have just ordered 1 from awesome gti

Took me 30-45 mins, that included the side shifter also.

Have you also bought the 42 Draft Design solid bushes? If not they are well worth having.

Which kit did you go for? Apparently to fit a Leon they need modifying?

I'm looking at getting the kit for an 08 Cupra.

That looks like a good price, compared to ones I've seen...(always makes me suspicious).
Does it come with fitting instructions of are they just "available"?

You really should take your airbox out and check on their site for the correct ones for your model year.

Id like one but wouldn't want to mess round with gearbox and that.

Cheers Fish. Will have look tomorrow. Did you have to modify your draft bushes?

Nope, remove the stock rubber units and drop these straight in. Nice snug fit. Best thing I'd recommend is quickly remove your airbox and confirm that you're ordering the correct units.

That's good. Is it easy to use in town driving? Also does it make any real world difference in off the lights drag?

Drove into London today with no issues what so ever. Dont know about the lights drag as if I want to race I'll do it on track.

Fitted mine this morning i've set it on the shortest setting took me around an hour but only because one of the circlips poped off and dropped down on the engine under tray other than that it was so easy and the difference is spot on very impressed this has to be the easiest mod i've ever done

Guys sorry for the noob question but what's the benefits for this upgrade ?? quicker gear shifts ? how does it feel when driving? better throttle response ??
