Forge short shifter

The front/back short shifter is a great mod. Wish I'd done mine way sooner. Had it on about 6 months.

Shifts are quicker and more precise. Can't wait to get my shift bushes on now.

I have a horrible habit of missing 3rd. So hoping to find some help in eliminating that. Mounts are next on the list. Failing that I need to learn how to drive better!

Well, I've jist proved myself incompetent as I have had to give up attempting to change my front to rear shifter. I just couldn't for the life of me get the 13mm nut off that secures the shifter itself! Tried everything I could think of but wouldn't budge, bit gutted now as I've had to put everything back together and don't get to play with something new!

Scotty, this wont do anything for the throttle responce as its not got anything to do with this. This is all about gear changes and length of the stick between gears.

I found that other than making things a lot shorter they also took a lot of the slack out of the stick. As in stick it in gear and give it a shake side to side. My bet is there is some there, after fitting mine it has almost all gone.

Tried again after I had calmed down and managed to change mine in the end, happy I did as its loads better!

Totally agree just need to get the side to side shifter now

In my opinion the best combination is forge / modified oem front back linkage, DD42 bushes, standard oem side-side linkage

I have almost the opposite set up and can confirm its crap!
