hi everyone recently just purchased a seat leon k1 in black . Currently have no plans for it yet but hope to get afew ideas from the forum . Never really had a vag car was previously into jap cars honda etc etc .

You can't miss it as its bright red and normally breaking the speed limit. Lol

Thanks for the welcome , yep the best colour has the hint of purple to it if that's normal ? , i'm up there alot for work etc but i live on the other side mate .

Yep...its the Inferi Black. The original K1's only came in a few colours and this was one of them. Once it's had a good clean and the sun comes out they do look really good with the purple.

No worries....mine has DRL's in the vents so you can't miss me!

That good to heir and yep that's the main thing apart from the technical side of things that attracted me to the car . I think i've seen a black on black k1 near town 58 plate if that's you ?

It is a 58 plate but I've got my private 03 plate on it so it probably wasn't me you saw.

no worries mate i will keep an eye out for you anyway cheers.Just to add do you have any recommendations on garages for servicing etc local , i've heard of midlands vw but not to sure .

Midlands VW are good. Got my upgraded MFD swapped over by them and they did a great job. I've also had my A3 serviced by the VAG specalists over in Coventry. They are also good with their prices too. I actually took mine to the Seat garage in Tysley for it's last service and was happy with the result. It was just easier for met o jump on the train to work too.

I think when it comes to servicing they are all pretty much the same, it's when it come to fault finding and repairs which is when you need to watch out!

VW Rescue always come in cheaper than Midland VW and the guys there know what theyre doing. Used them for the last 3 years!

Looks like similar prices to The VW Audi Specalists in Coventry....although VW Rescue charge £50 for an MOT which is the same as the Audi dealers and they also give a full guarentee should certain items fail before the next MOT.

Best to ring around and see who gives you the best price...also which is easiest to get to.

cheers mate may try tyseley seat . Went to the tyburn road seat today the manager seemed quite knowledgeable on k1's lol . Might go for midlands vw for a general all in one to do all my work have to see .
