have you tried just leaving the lights on ?

I know everyone says theirs go off if they leave them on by mistake, but mine don't. So his might be left on all the time :D

Some do some wont its a really weird one

way to tell if they will turn off or not is

leave lights on keys out ignition
open door, if you hear a buzzer then they wont turn off, if you dont then they will

I've tried leaving the lights on but that didn't work either. When the light switch is left on level 1 "sidelights" and I remove the key and open the door, I do hear a buzzer, however when I press on the lock button they just turn off. I am having problems with the LEDs (which are in place of the sidelights now) and they weren't working when I got home and turned the leaving home / coming home functions on, so I might try a while later maybe that'll work. If I do hear the buzzer and leave the sidelights on, lock the car, and the LEDs don't turn off except 10 seconds later (as decided by me on the MFD), will they turn on again if I press the unlock button? And is it possible to have the fog lights come on as well?

Ah yeah I've definitely tried leaving it on position 2 a couple of times before, even before I removed the stock head lights and installed the ones by Dectane, but when that happens, only the sidelights stay on when I remove the key and everything shuts down when I press the lock button. By the way, just so I am clear on this:

Coming Home - when you were outside and you just arrived home and you get out of the car, press on the lock button, and the light stays on for 10 seconds then shuts off

Leaving Home - when you just got out of your house, for instance, and you press the unlock button and the lights (whether sidelights or dipped beam, OR both) come on for 10 seconds.

Am I correct on this?

The genuine cable by RossTech costs somewhere between 250 and 300 euros, if I remember correctly. However I purchased a Chinese one. You can buy it from http://www.dhgate.com/ just search for a CAN-BUS compatible one. It'll cost some where between 20 and 30 euros.

It's just basically a knock off of the genuine Ross-Tech cable. Anything you can do with the Ross-Tech cable you can do with the Chinese one. Every Chinese cable comes with a certain software, and if you're connected to the internet and it updates, then the cable will not work anymore. You must be disconnected from the internet as long as you open the application.
