+1 for direct line. I don't think they like mods though. I don't think you have mentioned exactly what car you are trying to insure yet? I'm paying 550 for comp + protected on LCR. 27 with 9 yrs ncb if that helps

if not modded, esure.

Otherwise insure it properly, - modified insurers mentioned on here are usually pretty good.

and regards the insurer not insuring unless car owned for 12 months... this is quite simple, that the claim rate is higher in first year of ownership. Virtually all insurers ask how long you have owned the car. Many will apply a small increase in risk if less then 12 months,. This one appear to have decided to only supply cover after 12 months.

Understand your point but still feels like they penalising me for not owning the car for 12 months, at the end of the day its a car i have bought/like and want to drive so what difference does it make when i bought.? And even if i was to to claim not that i would, then its going to affect my premium for the follwing year.

Your less likely to have an accident if youve owned the car for 2 years than if the car is new to you. Im guessing but it makes sense to me. Just insured mine and they were more interested in how long I'd owned it / how long modified than NCB

I can beat that. Because I became a named driver on my partners policy for her car and didnt insure the cupra for 2 years I lost 7 years NCB! Greenlight who had insured the cupra before wouldnt even offer a price without ncb... even though im known to them and the last 2 years are completely traceable insurance wise.

Luckierly Flux gave me a huge discount as they were able to trace insurance activity and knew id had the car since 2005.

Frustrating:blink:
