disable cornering lights without vag com

i just found how to disable the cornering lights without the use of any cable and any kind of program, just in 1 min i did it!!!

i pull out the central unit of the light controller and i found that pin 11 is the command for the cornering ecu to power on, so i cut it
and the result was to have the cornering lights disabled with no errors in the dash and still working as fog lights from their button.

why to cut a wire... when you can just disable it with a laptop easily?

i don't have a vcds cable and with a friend i have tried and my car would not let me code it so i found this way, and i didn't cut it straight i just cut it and put between a button.


and i just made this thread because it is something that noone knew before and i just found out for this and you can make it without the cable and the laptop.

I'm not a fan of the cornering lights. I think a lot of people look at the car and think "what a douche, he's got his foglights on and one is blown, haha!" so I'll definitely be looking into getting them switched off.

i just wanted to place hid lights in fogs and with cornerinf on i couldn't and i hadn't any cable to turn it off via vag com so i look up to this

it actually saved me a few times...
and btw i can see soooo many europien cars with the cornering lights...
so i belive most people dont think its a blown bulb by now...

No, I like mine too. Good when turning into my rather dark driveway and for avoiding kerbstones in dark car parks.

I have a 12 plate FR the facelift one... I have front fogs... do mine do that too? I saw it on another ibiza in my friends street once.. I was like wtf! That's crazy... I can't tell if mine do it because I'm always in the car you see... :O anyone know if they do?

Turn on ignition. Turn on dip headlights. Turn on direction indicator. You should then see one fog light come on - I think!

Or just turn the steering wheel with the dips on.

I find them really useful for negotiating dark car parks......
