Miltek catback - Res or Non-Res Cupra tsi?

I know it has probably been covered a million times and I know the difference. I just wondered what peoples opinions who have, or have heard the two systems are.

I want something with a bit more noise, but I don't really want a loud fartbox that will have people staring for the wrong reasons.

I will probably keep the catback for a few months and potentially upgrade to the TBE at a later date.

Any advice is appreciated!

With the catback, its gonna be quiet until you get the TBE. Mines resonated i think (bought it off a member on here) and its quiet but gives a nice burble sound to it. It does give a nice sound to the car though and its definitely not loud like some exhausts you get.

Well for me, i like how it is tbh...i wouldnt mind getting it a tad bit louder but its not really something im fussed about really

What does res and non res mean?

Resonated or non resonated, the resonator is an extra muffler between the cat and back box that reduces noise a little bit.

Usually with a res you get less drone at motorway speeds but less noise when going WOT.

I went for the non resonated, it's perfect. Slightly deeper note on startup and sounds great through short tunnels in 2nd. Drove on the motorway home and didn't boom or drone at all.

Couldn't be happier and as a side note the turbo whistle seems to be louder as well which is only a bonus!

they are both resonated its just they cut the center resonater out of the non res system.

the Backbox is still huge and I doubt they have tuned it at all to suit the car. It will sound wank.

Yeah still has the back box, as I said above I'm quite happy with it. Looks so much better than pea-shooters in the surround and I think it sounds nice as well.

Each to their own I guess. Whereabouts are you located btw mate? Looking to get a spoiler soon and liked that carbon wrap you had, also wanted to get the cupra inserts done in carbon if you had a price?
