I do 100 miles a day in my S3 with Awesome clutch kit and it's fine, no issues in traffic or booting it or anything. Done around 4-5K miles on it now and still going strong.

Drove the car for the first time yesterday after clutch has been done, as i needed to drop the car to bodyshop. Felt very responsive but thought/felt like there was some noise from the gearbox when taking off in each gear which was only apparent from idle to 2k'ish. Guessing i just need to bed the clutch in etc but has anyone else had this with their clutch kit? Just had the gearbox rebuilt too so may also be that getting bedded in.

Only noise I have is when idling in neutral but its not every time. Give your clutch a few hundred miles and see if it goes. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless you start having gear selection issues or similar.

Got it fitted today and it feels very good, OEM feel doesn't drive differently at all, no noise.

At the same time im not going to rave and say its the best thing ever in the world, at the end of the day its a clutch it doesn't slip its able to handle more torque and feels OEM.

So its what i paid for.

Was tempted by this and seems like a good clutch for the money but I think iam gonna go with a Southbend silent SMF & clutch stage 2 daily. Handles 400ft/Lbs (540Nm)

Update from my experience - i called Awesome to explain the issue i was having a few days after i posted the above and to be honest they didnt sound to bothered to help after they had taken my money. So i took the gearbox off again as wanted to take to the person who had rebuilt it to make sure all was ok but when i tried to take the concentric cyl off it would not come off (i remember it being tight to fit on), so i left it on and took the box to have it looked at. The gearbox place said there was nothing wrong with the box but have replaced the casing bearing and main bearing again to make sure all ok. Now in the mean time i ordered a new concentric cyl from dealers and when i went to fit this cyl on it went on with no problems at all! So going to fit the gearbox tomorrow and if the noise is gone then will be calling Awesome and see what the say as the new concentric set me back £50.

I bought one of these clutch kits on the 'Black Friday' Awesome GTI sale day a couple of weeks back now and it should be on the car by middle of next week or so, along with a Wavetrac LSD :D

Will drop a note back in here how I find the car once it' all done.
