IMO the best colour/performance bulb is Philips blue vision.
Obviously I would love to go for HIDs but I just can't stand one without proper lens in the headlight.
Mate at work has a Twingo sport with HID kit and it looks like a cheap blue bulb inside.
I was looking at after market ones with lens but all of them are with chaved up led stripes :(

i've had the mtec cosmo blue for 18 months now, and whilst they have a good look (alot of people comment asking me if i have HIDs) the output, isnt great! around town, or lit motorways its fine but darker lanes is a different story.

in my main beams, i have philip ring ultima 120%, and they're **** hot!

Get some spare headlights, a set of projectors and ballasts and with a few tools away you go! I'll be doing a writeup/guide on how to make them soon...when I get 5 minutes to finish them off!

Did you use D1S projector or it is simpler to go H7 projector (for example from audi A4 B6) and HID with H7 fitting?

Do you know what size is genuine leon projector?

I bought a canbus friendly HID kit and just replaced the H7 bulbs with some D2S bulbs because the projectors I've got are for that fitting.

Not sure of the genuine size but my lenses are 2.5 inches across which is about the same size from what I recall.

Rob, do the projectors have all the bulb clamp gubbins included?

So its just a case of fixing the projector securly and aimed correct

In a nutshell..yes. It has the wire clip at the back to hold the bulb in place, holes for the bolts to allow fixing to the current headlight (some fabrication on a piece of metal needed if you do it like mine) or they can fit into the existing reflector bowl.

Here is a photo of the back of my FX-R projector. You can see the darker grey metal circle I have fabricated to fix the projector to. It also has the D2S bulb in place. The metal plate holes are oblong to allow me to twist the projector to the correct angle.
You can see the three long bolts and these are how it fixes to the existing fixing points on the headlight, I.e. where the reflector bowl fixes to, this allows you to adjust the aim up/down/left/right before they are fixed into place.

Here is the front of the projector. You an see I have put one bolt through it as a temporary hold to the metal circle.

Just bought M-TECH Super White 55W Dipped, 100W High beam and M-TECH sides.
Will let you know what I think as have just come from an OE HID equipped Subaru STi that were fantastic, especially on high beam.

Becareful because 100W is A LOT and if you activate the high beam for long you might as well burn the headlight's cover and fry your wires. The OEM harness and wires are usually built for 55W bulbs.
