Hi guys,

Bought an LCR a couple of months ago. I can't help but look and think that the rear sits high as a kite!!

I have reciepts for new rear springs a couple of years ago and think they've put 1.6 SX springs in or something like that!?

I haven't had chance to park next to another LCR to compare yet

It's just flown through MOT with no advisories so i can't really warrant spending £££ on coilovers or a shock and spring combo.

After as many pictures of LCR's on springs and OEM dampers as possible :p Would be greatly appreciated

Roll on the pictures............. [B)]

On 50/40mm weitec shocks and springs. Don't bother about the shocks tho as its the springs that determine the height difference.

That looks spot on mate ;) Cheers!

I've heard good things about the Weitec ones!

Mine just sits far too high at the back (you can get a fist in the arch gap sitting on the flat)

Anyone got any feedback on ride quality of these springs with OEM shocks would be brilliant? :)

I'll make sure to pop up a picture of the rake on my LCR when i hit enough posts :)

Mine on 25mm h&r with std shockers.....

hmmm am I wrong to say that Big_eck's car looks approximately the same drop as CupraRmark although their srpings are totally different height drops?
Wondering if CupraRmark is for the actually LCR dropping 25mm and if Big_eck's are 50/40 advertised for the LC which then drop 30/20 on a LCR?

Thats what i was thinking... The Weitec ones are advertised as a 50/40 drop on a 1.8t / 1.9tdi which would make it a 30/20 as the LCR is 20mm lowered standard.

I've always thought the H&R setup gives it a bit of a reverse rake look though :/ does it understeer round roundabouts CupraRMark?

Mmmmmmm [B)]

I must admit i've definitely toyed with the idea of going down the coilover route purely for a few extra mm of lowering but with the MOT coming through with no advisories what so ever i'm kinda reluctant to spend £400 + on a set

Saying that i am pretty anal with these things and down the line at some point i may end up going down this route :D

How do the AP's ride?

I also see AP do a spring kit... Anyone tried and tested these?

Venom Motorsport advertise.....

Eibach 50/35
Fk 55/40
Spax 45/45

On Ebay i can find......

Ap 50/30

I can't find an awful lot on any of the above :( Would be interesting to have pictures of ALL the options in one thread :p

I got the ap's for £380 delivered from awesome although it was the last set they had! The ride is spot on, mines fully polly bushed at the front as well and its firm but not that much firmer over standard, but the handling is ten times better now!

Yes me and big eck have mentioned this before the h&r are 40mm-45mm drop on a lc according to the box...

Doesn't seem to under steer m8, seems well planted in and out off bends it transformed the car massively from std set up
