Just spoke to Seat dealers about DSG oil change

Hi,

i just rang the seat dealers in stockport regarding a dsg oil change,

is this true that they dont have a percific service plan to do this?

They told me that i would have to buy the oil and filter seperate and get it booked in the labout alone was £130+ vat then the cost of the parts?

has anyone else done this or is there a service shedule for the dsg gearboxes at seat?

It's listed in the Service Book (FL model), DSG oil and filter change every 60000km or 40000 miles.

thats exactly what i thought! i knew i seen it somewere but the lady in the service department was addiment that they dont have it as a service intival she even asked the guy in parts!

They are wrong. 40K miles. My local independent (Midland VW) do it all-in for around £125, I've had 2 dome now.

If you ask someone to do a job and they don't know anything about it, then you need to move on buddy. I wouldn't want anyone working on my car when it is the first time they are carrying out the procedure! Go elsewhere.

Midland VW can do the software updates. My car hasn't been near a dealer since I've owned it.

Lookers Stockport are now dealers for every manufacturer under the sun, and you probably spoke to a grease monkey whose knowledge begins and ends in Korea.

Try heading further around the M60 to David Cook of this parish.

I no longer work for them and i wouldnt trust them to update any ecu.

David cooks on the other hand would be able to update your software as would we.

We could also upgrade your DSG software using Revo tecknik Software.

What kind of issues are you having with it that makes you suspect the software?
