You take the cover out and you`ll see a screw that you need to take out. When you order the part you`ll get that shiny piece of metal and 1 screw that replaces the one that is already there. It shouldn`t take more than 2 minutes.

The only thing missing from that video is how to actually get the side off the key? I've had a quick look at mine as I fancy doing that mod, but it's not obvious

Does it just force off, or are there some clips that need to be released or something?

You just pull. It`s a cover that comes off by pulling. It comes off completly reveiling the battery. This procedure is also in the manual when it says how to change the battery.

hi bloodrave i see they are the same as mine except the foot rest as yours is lhd they dont do a rhd foot rest but a guy in cech makes them for the skodas and he is making me one so when it arrives will post his email if anyone is interested could be about a month away .
