Hi, can anyone help? I'm thinking of remapping my Seat Cupra R mk2, just wondering if the eu will need to be pulled out for effective mapping? & how much of a difference a stage 1 (40bhp) remap will feel?
I also want to get led lights in white to replace the standard daytime lights (think there like stop & tail bulbs?) any good ones about that wont set the bulb warning light on? Links, numbers etc...
Would really appreciate any help & info, thanks guys.

To be honest a stage 1 map will make a hell of a difference. Its like day and night when the car has been done. I only drive a Cupra and the smile on my face couldnt be wiped off it. Don't take that figure for granted though as it is known for cars to make more or less BHP... And the ECU does not need removed. its all through the OBD Port. As for the bulbs, you want to get CANBUS ones and go for bright white. They should do the trick

It's not just a 40 bhp gain but also a hell of a lot more torque. The difference is massive.

Straight OBD flash.

To be honest if you go with the likes of Revo then you'll probably see even better gains than 40bhp and its without doubt one of the best maps for your car.

I recently had my Cupra R mapped by Revo and they said that it would make just over 300bhp and even a bit more if I ran super unleaded in it the car pulls a hell of a lot better now plus I think they have there 20% off still till the end of the month.

Thanks for the replies, really helpful :) Will definitely go for the canbus bulbs :)
Never remapped a car before so its all new to me lol! Been looking into APR TUNING at Awesome gti in Manchester, got £120 off at the moment, anybody know how good they are?

I had my Cupra R remapped at Awesome with APR software, there is a big difference right through the rev range, Never had my car on the RR so don't know figures it's making.

At the risk of kick starting another monotonous Revo VS APR thread my advice would be:

Don't listen to what everyone's opinions are. Just go and pay your money at either a Revo or APR dealer and take the car away, drive it for a few days and if you don't like it go and give the other brand a go.

Both companies offer a 30 day money back garauntee so take advantage! (Something none of our customers have ever taken us up on before by the way)

And if you're local to Manchester and fancy a visit to Oldham then give me a shout and we can sort you out with stage one Revo software or if you have any questions regarding the software then feel free to PM me.

We are also a Seat dealer and I used to be in charge of remapping at Prosport so you can rest
Assured that you're in safe hands and the software will be set up correctly.

Are you guys able to map out the second lambda? I have an issue with the engine light on all the time due to a sports catalyst.

It's a no then I'm afraid.

Stage 2 is normally required to cancel out errors.

Hmm I think i'll have to have a little think, Awesome seem really good from what I keep hearing but revo very tempting 2 lol!
Yeah thanks, only problem is im not very local, im in Anglesey North Wales so I want to try & make the right choice. Got no dealers my end :-(
Any chance MJ you can pm me details like prices & how long it'll take etc. Thanks.
I thought Awesome might do RR with remaps. I'll definitely want to get it on the RR.

Thanks for the info, really helpful :) I can't seem to reply to you except on the thread lol!
Do you have a roling road there by any chance? & would I still get 20% off if I booked the car this month but had it done next month?

It would be worth giving awesome a call because I just had the updated software from the previous owner of the car. I'm sure Awesome do before and after RR with remap.

I'm afraid we don't have any rollers at the moment but this will have no bearing on the software.

I'm afraid it has to be done this month for the discount to be applicable.
