Picked up the FR this morning. Wow, it drives so much better than the Fabia VRS. The handling is almost night and day. I'm getting used to the engine too and it has some nice punchy mid range torque, managed 57mpg mixed driving too on the way home which is nice.

Cars looking good mate love the colour... quick question ive got 2.0tdi 2012 went on motorway doing 65 70 for about 30miles didnt get above 50mpg how did you manage 57 ?

At 65 - 70 you want to be in 5th - not 6th

6th is way overgeared in the Ibiza.

And when your up to speed - lightly release pressure on the throttle - speed will stay the same but mpg will go up by quite a bit.

Don't know mate. Just drove it normally and got that mpg. Wasn't even trying!

Looks great lowered ^^. Fletchy, got a side pic of the wind deflectors?

Not sure if it's normal but the electric windows seem really slow lol. Also the rear wiper wipes slow. Not a major problem.

Its only on springs atm coilovers soon!

Yep - thats the dpf.

Not really something you want to try and replace each year for the MOT

This is the most recent photo ive actually got way back in september lol! it has dropped slight now with the springs settled hugs the front nicely with a touch more gap at the rear which is usefull when ive got people in the back!

So your going with open knock the crap out and weld shut again?

In simple terms - yes.

The box will be cut open on the engine side - gutted - then welded shut again.

When its on the engine you wont be able to see it's been opened and welded shut.

It's not the cheapest way but Will at P-Torque is doing a drive in drive out service.

DPF physical delete + remap + dpf software delete. £600 ish

DPF on a derv is a bigger restriction than the cat on a petrol.

And the engine will throw up all kinds of errors if you remove it without having the software modified.
