Seat leon fr Turbo blown!!! Help

Hello all
I have a seat leon fr 56 plate tfsi
101k miles

Today I was driving and it sounded strange on full boost
In second gear..like a woshhhhh sound.

So 10mins later i hear a strange drop noise and then no turbo power!!
Car sounds like exhaust is hanging off??
like a motor bike !!

Am I right to say the turbo is gone?

Also will it be okay to replace with ko4 turbo!??
Any help will be Brest it's going in garage tomarrow!!

it'd defo be Brest going to a garage tomorrow so they can look at it

Does the car just feel down on power?

Is there any black smoke?

I thought my turbo had blown on my first MK2 cupra, but one of the boost pipes had totally come loose I could barely get over 30mph to get the car back home (fortunately I was only 2 miles from home)

Exactly the same happened to me, if you can see near the bottom left corner of the radiator I wouldn't be at all surprised if there's a big fat pipe hanging off. Maybe a new clip and/or a new pipe depending on why it has come off. Fingers crossed that's all it is.

I just heard loads of blowing as if the exhaust had fallen off

Kinda sounded like it was farting?

It was 2 years ago mate so can't remember exactly

I don't want to get your hopes up mate

It'll be an hours worth of work at the most, I think. So it shouldn't be too expensive but don't get your hopes up until its been in garage

Its a legitimate question to be fair - mega rich mixture would result in black smoke, whereas on a TDI it would look more like the 'rolling coal' videos on youtube

The cat has come off the turbo some how??!
so I'm replacing the cat as it was knackered anyways

And the down pipe.

And suggestions?

don't really want to push £600 tbh

for full system mate?? You'll get a BCS/miltek downpipe for 500ish, but you'll not get a full system

theres a few other ones about but BCS is what i would go for, so cant comment on the rest
