We're looking to get something done with that hideous grey dash. The grey doesn't appear anywhere else in the car. What were they thinking!!?

I know there are white, carbon, gloss black, and marvel comics vinyl ing jobs out there.

Show me!!
Any other interior beef-ups welcome

As I'm going for the whole black and red look on my car. I was thinking of doing all the silver/grey bits in the car and the wing mirror caps in a carbon red wrap. A little different but still stands out enough. And quite cheap and easy to do as well

Indeed. Prob is our car is yellow...which leaves shades of grey, black and white really :) So I was hoping someone had some smashing ideas

Oh that would be interesting. My car is black so pretty much guarantees it to work lol

Not thought of sticker bombing it? I know it's marmite but I was tempted at one point lol

Or match it to a few other things you've already done?

This gave me some ideas.

That would be smart like. Defo.

Why not just buy some yellow wrap of eBay and go for it? It's only about 10 quid. Nothing to lose really. And if you don't like it. Rip it off haha

I bought some white wrap to try out a couple of bits but the white wrap was a different colour white to my Candy white car... Doesn't sound like it would but honest stood out a mile off!
So you might have that problem with yellow wrap too, you could probably get away with some small bits like door handle trim etc (check my RR)
I'm planning on doing my dash gloss black though, been done I know, but does look smart

Yeah I've noticed this already. I ordered two testers and both were off. One too bright and one too darkd

I think gloss black has the following faults:

- you can see dust ALL the time on it. Would drive me nuts.
- it does not match the rest of the dash.
- reflections off the dash and in the windshield (why do you think race cars have flocking?)
- it's prone to scratches and imperfections which are most visible on a gloss dark colour like that
- everybody and their dog has it :) haha

The steering wheel trim is daily removed too. Depends if you would prefer to be able to return it to stock when selling as you could get a couple of colour match rattle cans and spray some parts.
Websites like--- http://www.carpaintrepair.co.uk/acatalog/Car-Spray-Paint.html --- you give them your reg etc and they can mix up matching paint.

I sprayed my steering wheel trim gloss black and wrap the centre (FR badge) white to make it a little different (although your's may already be gloss black)

The flocking looks loads better in the flesh. Certainly doesn't look cheap and is a damn sight better than the cheap looking silver plastic.

My only complaint with flocking is it attracts dust like mad. That will be why it looks slightly off in the pics as its not clean, only the daytime pics though.

Each to their own though, personally I love it.

That's what I was thinking if I'm honest, think it looks cheap but i wouldn't mind seeing it in the flesh!
