Yeah I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving it loose like that, just adds to the list things that rattle around imo

Lol exactly. A bit of moto foam and cable ties/tape will stop that from rattling!!!

Plus it'll keep it clean if I ever decide to reconnect it

Worried that the car will sound quiet

No lol????

EDIT

When I sat in the passenger seat before I had the exhaust, the engine sounded loud. But the exhaust overpowers it a bit more now

That's what I mean. Your exhaust is well loud! Don't think you have to worry about your car being silenced by disabling a little 3 inch spinning disk

I'm going to have a crack at this in the next few days, then it's just a case of trying to keep the missus quiet.......:D

Surprised you can hear anything over the revo intake? And don't say 3" is little, this is a car forum ffs you don't realise how many of us you're offending lol :)

Ok, I unplugged it about an hour ago and then drove home from my mates.

My car is completely standard and it does sound A LOT quieter - that 3" spinning disc created a shed load of artificial sound. That being said, I much prefer the au natural sound. You can still hear the exhaust but you can also hear the engine. And the turbo! It's glorious!

BUT

Be warned that the procedure to get to it is not as easy as the above posted video would have you believe. My car is a FL but it's an '11 plate and it was totally different to the one in the vid. Not sure if earlier FL's are the same as the video though.

I will post a guide with pictures hopefully tomorrow.
