Hi all,

Currently seriously thinking of changing from 11 plate (12000miles) Cupra R to new 5 door Cupra 280 DSG. What should I be looking for in a deal. Could I part ex my car then get cash back as PCP works with 30% I believe. What sort of discounts should I be looking for? 10% maybe?

Any help gratefully received.

Cheers

Yes you can part ex and get money back.

discounts seem to vary wildly with brokers seeming getting the best discounts

Why would PCP need to be 30%? I never paid that much on the VRS neither did the brokers request that amount when i got quotes. 30% would just give you the 0% interest rate if that's what you're referring to?

30% is the max you can put down, so I was told today by local dealer.

yeah thats normally the max you can put down with PCP minimum is nothing on most

Codger, what deal did you get? I have managed to get a dealer to match DTD prices so will prob go with that now.

I see you are in Cardiff. Did White Dove match DTD price then? Certainly wouldn't entertain it when I bought ours back in March. Went with DTD in the end.

White Dove? No chance. Not ever been there.
What dealer did you manage to negotiate with then? There are only 2 in South Wales and neither were being realistic when I was looking to buy ours. I guess somewhere over the bridge?

Yeah over the bridge, far over the bridge actually.

Whereabouts are you? In Cardiff?

Half way between Cardiff and Swansea. We had to travel far over the bridge for ours too.

With a PCP, who is named on the V5?

And when you insure who is the registered keeper and who is the registered owner?

I'm looking at PCP but never done one before, so not quite sure...

You are the registered owner just like HP finance, its just your deferring a large payment to the end of the term. Its only leasing where you are not the registered owner, I believe.
