cupra r exhuast noise issue

hi all

my exhaust seems to make a thraspy noise when I put my foot right down, its mainly at higher revs.

there seems to be no drop in performance, its just making a **** noise.

if I rev the car at stand still, when I come the revs it makes the noise too.

could the exhaust be loose?

I don't think there is anything wrong, unless we can actually hear the sound then it's always hard to know for sure, but I'd bet that it sounds exactly like any other car with the R back box on.

The backbox is stupidly low. Crafoo will confirm that, with his backbox having a nice dent in it lol

It is indeed stupidly low, it's not dented though but the black paint has flaked off, it could do with a touch up really. I just want to go on record as saying it wasn't damaged under my ownership i just got stung with the repair cost

You can clearly see from this that the box has taken a decent bump at some point and put a lovely crease into the centre piece pulling the back box out of line.

Mine has a slight scrape underneath ( not guilty m'lud ) and the paint's coming off especially where the tailpipes go into the box. I was thinking if using some Hammerite on it, got some I used on hubs which seems to cope with the heat.
Until I can afford a cat back it'll have to do. Or Betty sells his car again and I get it off him the exhaust I mean.

To the OP - you will notice a difference , remove the sound thingy ( or unplug it at least)
