Hi, just bought some front vibe speakers for my 2010 leon and now I'm thinking of getting a new head unit and sub/amp. Not sure of my exact budget but could stretch to £300 for the lot (head unit and sub/amp) don't really have a clue about all this so what would you recommend for this type of money?

With the sub and amp I'm not to looking to build a box just gonna get one I can take out when the boot space is needed.

Depends on what sort of headunit you want and what capabilities you need, ie Bluetooth, nav, usb????

You could do it for £300 but you need to factor in a fascia + wiring loom to enable steering wheel controls + ariel adaptor. There is fifty quids worth of bits there that only leaves you 250 for the main bits.

Well I don't have Bluetooth so wouldn't need that, but I don't have blue tooth and aux connections down by the gear stick I would want to keep functioning..

Anyone know of some decent head units for around 250 that fit into a 2010 leon fr?

You need the connects 2 wiring harness and the fakra Ariel adaptor. Also seat do not make a double din fascia for the mk2 facelift model. They don't do the correct colour for facelift. Only pre facelift

That unit does not have navigation. It is navigation ready but you. Need the add on.

The colour being different I could possibly have lived with even though its a tacky-looking thing but the lugs didn't fit the relevant fixing points. The solution I used relies on the VW Din adaptor being screwed into place which I think is a much better job.

Ah ok so you used the runs fascia and the vw adaptor,

I have still got the actual double din a fascia from my old cupra but they don't make it in the facelift trim code

£300 for HeadUnit, Sub, Amp and wiring? I thought you said you were going to upgrade.
I would save the effort and spend all that on just good door speakers.

Agreed, 4 Kenwood 165mm speakers were about £100, the fitting adaptors another £20.
Philips CED1800BT head unit with GPS £235, fitting parts (ignoring my false starts buying crap) another £90

They (the Kenwoods) don't go straight in without the adaptors - which I told the same seller
