Misfired when wheel spinning - engine warning light!

Hi guys,

I have been out in the car today - it's been very wet and once or twice felt like it misfired when wheels spinning - and the engine warning light has come on! (Obviously not a good sign to have!).

I think this may have been caused from the wheel spinning, but any ideas on what this may have done inside?

traction control kicking in. i love mine, when it kicks in i get lots of flames and bangs.

It was the engine warning light - but just got back in for a cruise and it's not there anymore!

It sounds awesome doesn't it Can't say i've noticed flames though

Mine did same, reason was coils and plugs.

If I floor mine the Rev counter seems to jump say 500 revs from 4500 to 5000 rpm
Then at 5000 revs seems to hold there for a second then goes on
Does this sound like leads or plugs

Hi, my engine warning light was on at one point and no longer isn't?? In my leon mk2 1.6 if there was an error the light would stay on!

Yes, same. Warning light flash when accelerate, but does not stay on. Worth to check coil and plugs.
