Auto Folding Mirrors

Hi,

Wondered if anyone could clarify if my mirrors are meant to fold when I hold the lock button on the key or not?

I've go electric mirrors and they can be folded using the switch in the car just can't make them fold from the key. It's an 06 1.9tdi Stylance if that helps.

If not, is it something that can be enabled via vagcom?

Our FR doesn't fold when we lock the car. It would be a lovely feature though.

I can't post links but:

Reading online, you have to hold down the lock button.

Yeah for 3 seconds, think it must just be on some models.

Just read on another topic, on 06 model cars total closure only works with the windows and not the mirrors.

Windows don't shut either at the minute but I know you can program that using vagcom. Thanks for the help.

Just double check - Mine depends and can be a bit flakey depending on if I'm walking away from the car or how far away I am. Sometimes I have to stand still until I hear it start to close then start walking away. I expect it's the battery in the fob as even the RCL need to be fairly close these days!

Mine is an 08 and has full closure/opening from the fob (when it isn't flakey) so you can maybe disregard this info, but worth checking.

Alternative is that it's a CCM feature which will be dependant on MY, so might not even be activated through VagComm

Yep my 08 FR does on the remote if you hold the buttom for 3 seconds.

Windows will go down or up when unlocking/locking too.

I had a look last night with Pete from Towcester Vags and you can't do it on mine. Might be a spec related thing?

I know exactly what you mean.. for the first three weeks in November, my right one just stopped going in. Then all of a sudden, it started working and has been fine since !

Hi,

I have a 2006 55 plate TFSI sport, the mirrors fold off the switch in the car but no window closure or mirror folding even if I hold the fob for an hour!

Surely this can be programmed via VCDS???
At least my windows...

I don't think the mirrors can be programmed on an 06 but the windows can for sure using Vcds.
