Aww man don't say that!

Do you have the VCDS facilities? I know northampton very well used to live there for 3 years when I was at uni!

Aww decent I'm studying at the uni still. No, I got Pete (Towcester Vag) a member on here to sorted it.

Okay cool bruv!
Yeah Northampton is close to my heart, don't think there is anybody over 25 I don't know der.

I'll find somebody in Brum, I'm determined to try and get the mirrors done aswell, maybe different equipment might have additional options or like you said it may just be a model thing but it's worth a bash.

I'll keep ya posted mate.

On my 59plate FR the mirrors will fold in after holding the fob locking button down for 3 secs.

But this seems dependant on if the window buttons have been played with or not!

Now I find to make auto fold mirrors work properly, I need to make sure the windows are all the way down and then press, hold and release the window close buttons (in the car) so that the windows then go all the way up by them self. Once they reach the top position and stop, that is where they need to be for Auto fold mirrors to work!

BUT!!! If someone then pushes any of the window close buttons (in the car) again and the window then jumps up a tiny amount. This seems to stop the auto mirrors from working!

So you then need to repeat with the windows if the Auto folding stops.

If not I've found you can hold the fob unlock button till the windows are all open, then press and hold the fob lock button TILL the windows are all closed. The wing mirrors should also fold in at the same time and the windows will all be in the correct position for the auto fold mirrors to work when you hold the fob lock button for 3 secs!

Again If the window buttons are then fiddled with, this seems to stop the auto function from working! So you know what to do.

Hope I have helped any of you and have not made my description to complicated.

@Terminator 2000.
Are you 100% sure that all models/years wil come up on a Vagcom?

If so where did you get it done!

Cheers

I'm 100% certain you can't do it on mine. It's an 06 so a very early one and a Stylance.

I have vagcom. As long as u have folding mirrors it can be done. Follow video on YouTube for vw golf. It's the same. Just make sure all boxes are correctly ticked and saved

Any problems let me know

As long as u have electric windows all round and electric folding mirrors it will work.. For some reasons not all options are enabled in vcds.. Think it's area dependant.. There's loads of hidden features if and where u no to look

I have a '07 Seat Altea XL Stylance 2.0TDI (170). It has both folding and moveable mirrors. This is controlled through the twistable and tiltable joystick on the centre console. My problem is that the heated mirrors functions correctly, as do the folding in and out, however the mirror glass can not be adjusted. The joystick has 'L' and 'R' positions to control each mirror separately. They did function properly, but I can't work out what the problem is.

Any ideas?

As the other functions work correctly (through the same controller) can I rule out it being a fuse problem?
