I know, but I'll leave it for others to figure it out.
To give you a clue, it ISN'T from the 'founders' name, August Horch, as many seem to believe.
If you are right, you need to tell Audi that they have it all wrong.

Yes, and that confirms what Audi claim on their corporate website, that Audi was named after the founder Horch, contrary to what you said.
Yes admittedly i could have been ckearer, but I'd have thought it was fairly self explanatory that I was referring to the common AU from August argument. Nice passive aggression though. Ten points to you too!

However, would you get upset hearing an American call a Jag-you-are a Jag-warr? Possibly not.
We can grumble about the mispronunciation of Say-at and Lay-on but does anyone in the UK with a Beemer call it a Bay-em-dooble-vay? I doubt it!
Perhaps we should all have a Ferrari - not too much confusion there!

Well, you need to make allowances as they can't pronounce anything correctly.
