Dsg gearbox reliability after mapping?

Hi all I have been toying with the idea of getting my facelift fr petrol mapped for a while now.

How do the dsg boxes stand up to the added stress of the map.


Will be stage 1 only.

Does it put any other parts of the car under more stress?

Box will be fine' I'd also get the box mapped too which is well worth it

Ok , from what I have read the box map changes the Rev limits and shift changes

Yeah' a few other tweaks too. Don't understand why a lot more don't get them done

Could it be the reliability issues with the early boxes putting people of off?

My cr170 is mapped stg1 , no problems with the DSG but I don't have the gear box mapped
